── Do you have any hobbies or anything you've been passionate about lately?
"Well, I wrote in my profile that my hobby is Namie Amuro. You might be wondering what that means (lol), but I really like Amuro and have gone to see her concerts quite a lot. Sometimes I go as many as 7-8 times a year, and I enjoy it. But our tours usually start in September, in the fall, and they get really exciting and there are a lot of shows. Amuro's tours also start in the fall, so they overlap (lol), so when I could in December or January, or during my off-season, I'd go see her concerts.
After spending my off-season like that for 6-7 years, Amuro-chan retired and I stopped going to live concerts. Now I really love golf, not just as a job, but as a hobby. Golf is part of my job, but on my days off, I want to go golfing with my friends. Golf during a match is completely different, and playing golf with friends is also really fun, so I guess golf is my hobby. That's why I'm really happy. Doing what I love has become my job. There are some players who don't want to join a club during their off-season, but I really enjoy playing golf with my friends. I also love to eat, and I go on trips to other parts of the country, so it might be really fun to enjoy delicious food in those places. "
── Finally, what are your future goals?
"After turning 40, I started to feel pain in various parts of my body, and things just didn't work the way I used to. When that happens, I have to think about my body and cut back on my training. I've reached that age, but I have the experience I've gained, and I think about what I can do at each moment.
I think golf is probably the only sport where you can compete on the same level as younger players. I'm not your son, but being able to play with professionals of that age is one of the great things about golf. I'm going to do what I can now, to the best of my ability. I want to stay at the forefront as a professional for as long as possible, and I want to continue working hard, aiming to win. I want to keep that motivation firmly in my heart as I move forward, and I want to continue to work hard and do my best."
